Well, the "conflict" currently centers around how Asuka's mother wants Ginyuri Academy to become the school that churns out the manliest men and the womanliest women. So it's this new policy against the otomen and Ryou who insist on being themselves. The school's basically turned into an authoritarian state, complete with brown-nosing snitches, which makes me wonder if she's till talking about a school rather than a prison. XD

Although, how Asuka's mother can get away with trying to foist her trauma on an entire generation of students is a bit much. >_>
